QUANTICO, Virginia – The Junior Highpower Rifle Clinic, will be held September 20-21, 2025 on the historic grounds of Quantico – home to the United States Marine Corps since 1917 —will welcome the next generation of competitive rifle shooters for a two-day training event.

Sponsored by ACME Rifles in partnership with the Civilian Marksmanship Program, Veteran's Family Brigade Instructors, and the Military Teams.

The Quantico Junior High Power Rifle Clinic brings together national champions, elite veterans, and certified instructors to provide personalized, hands-on coaching for junior shooters at all skill levels. Whether you’re brand new to the sport or already competing on a state junior highpower team, this clinic is designed to help you reach the next level.

Train With the Best

This year’s clinic is led by members of the Veteran’s Family Brigade—retired military marksmen with world-class competition credentials, many of whom continue to give back through instructional programs nationwide.

Featured members leading the Junior Clinic include current and former National Rifle champions such as Dan Duitsman, Dwayne Lewis, Jonathan O’Neal, and Julia Watson-Carlson.


About the Clinic 

The program blends beginner or advanced classroom instruction, live-fire training, and friendly competition, offering both technical mastery and practical experience on AR-Tactical or Service Rifle (respectively).

Day 1 – Classroom & Live Fire
Morning: Safety, fundamentals, rulebook standards, equipment use, shooting positions, reading wind and weather, and match strategies
Afternoon: 200-yard to 300-yard live fire on electronic targets (view shots via phone/tablet) with one-on-one coaching from certified personnel, elite civilians, and military instructors

Day 2 – Competition & Advanced Training
Morning: Scored fun match to put skills to the test
Afternoon Bonus: Active Military and veteran marksman introduces basic level training and competition exposure to action rifle formats, focusing on weapon handling, target transitions, and positional shooting (5–500 yards)

Following all live fire training there will be an Awards ceremony to recognize top shooters and a Banquet.


Participation Details

Categories:
AR-Tactical – Beginner-friendly for those new to rifle handling
Service Rifle – For intermediate to advanced marksmen

Equipment: Participants are encouraged to bring their own rifles, ammunition and shooting equipment. (If unable to bring your own, rifles, gear, and ammunition will be provided for youth.)
Ages: Minimum age is 12 (exceptions by prior approval)

Parents/Adults: Welcome to register and attend; priority firing time goes to youth

Space is Limited: Early registration encouraged

Base Access & Registration

***Marine Corps Base access will require a civilian visitor pass. We will collect names of all registrants to add to the base access roster for this event. You will need to bring identification *Real ID*
