Borden, IN – May 3, 2025

Each year, the Friends of NRA movement honors one standout committee with the prestigious Committee of the Year award. In 2024, that honor was earned by none other than the Falls of the Ohio Friends of NRA Committee in Borden, Indiana—and in 2025, they proved once again why they’re a national benchmark for excellence.
With over 1,000 attendees and $240,000 raised, the Falls of the Ohio banquet was not only a celebration of community and patriotism—it was a full-force rally for the future of American marksmanship. ACME Machine was proud to stand at the center of the action as a premier sponsor, bringing energy, innovation, and our signature craftsmanship to a night that will fuel generations of shooters.

Powering the Mission with Precision: ACME Machine on Display

ACME Machine’s custom FNRA-engraved rifles stole the spotlight—especially this 1776-themed AR-10 tactical build that turned heads and packed the raffle tables all night.
The buzz of the evening? ACME Machine’s custom FNRA-engraved rifles, including a showstopping 1776-themed AR-10 tactical build, which drew crowds to every display and raffle table. The rifle, proudly presented by MSgt Julia Watson-Carlson—the most decorated female marksman in Marine Corps history—was not only a centerpiece, but a symbol.
“This rifle isn’t just a showpiece—it represents the mission,” said Watson-Carlson. “It’s about honoring our history while investing in our youth and our freedom.”
Custom-built in ACME’s renowned shop, the rifle featured laser UV-engraved elements, museum-grade detail, and the kind of tactical innovation that defines ACME Machine’s elite custom shop work. These rifles weren’t just admired—they were fought over in raffles and sought out as legacy pieces.

More Than an Auction—A Movement

NRA Field Rep Josh Toennessen praises ACME Machine’s commitment at the Falls of the Ohio FNRA banquet—calling their support a vital investment in the future of freedom.
From a Lee Brice autographed guitar to a Val Kilmer-signed Stetson hat from Tombstone, the live auction delivered excitement—but nothing stirred the crowd like the ACME-built rifles. And behind all the excitement, the real win was for the future of shooting sports.
Thanks to the leadership of Chairman Pete Neiman, Treasurers Joe Fackler and Jennifer Crum, and over 100 dedicated volunteers, the funds raised will support junior marksmanship programs, veterans, and local firearm safety initiatives. The committee’s efforts were further elevated by appearances from NRA EVP Doug Hamlin, NRA Board Members Charlie Hiltunen and Craig Haggard, and local legends like Julia Watson-Carlson.
“This isn’t just an event—it’s an investment in tomorrow’s defenders of freedom,” said Josh Toennessen, NRA Field Representative for Indiana. “And ACME Machine understands that. Their support shows up in more ways than one.”

ACME Machine: Crafting Rifles With Purpose

ACME Machine founder Shaun Beiswanger shares the mission behind every custom rifle—supporting youth, veterans, and responsible marksmanship through elite craftsmanship and community investment. Each laser-engraved build isn’t just gear—it’s part of a greater cause.
What sets ACME Machine apart? We don't just sell rifles—we build legacy tools that serve a greater purpose. Every laser-engraved AR, every custom barrel, every unique finish reflects our passion to give back.
By partnering with events like the Friends of NRA Banquet, ACME Machine connects the dots: from crafting elite rifles to funding junior clinics and competitive programs nationwide. When you buy from ACME, you’re investing in more than just gear—you’re supporting juniors, veterans, and first responders.
“Every rifle we build is tied to a cause,” said Shaun Beiswanger, ACME Machine founder. “It’s about mentorship, safety, and securing a future for responsible marksmanship.”
We were proud to have Robert Green Photography on-site to capture every electrifying moment—from live auctions to awe-struck kids getting their first close-up look at competition-grade rifles.

What’s Next for the Falls of the Ohio Committee?

MSgt Julia Watson-Carlson—the most decorated female marksman in Marine Corps history—unveils ACME Machine’s FNRA rifle. More than a showpiece, this build symbolizes the mission: honoring America’s history while investing in the next generation of freedom defenders.
Already, plans are underway for Gunapalooza, their fall signature event expected to welcome over 500 guests and raise another $70,000–$80,000 for national and local shooting initiatives. If this spring’s success is any indication, the Falls of the Ohio committee isn’t just leading—they’re redefining what’s possible.
As a proud sponsor and advocate, ACME Machine will be right there with them—equipping champions, empowering juniors, and reinforcing the values we hold dear.
